My Story of Family, Faith, and Hope

Life with Music tells the story behind a piano teacher’s decision to create a nonprofit foundation that offers music as therapy. Charlotte began our first discussion by saying, “I am afraid you are going to find there is nothing there.” Soon we were on a journey to explore her ancestry, her church and religion, the world of classical music and the inspiring accomplishments she achieved in her life. We traced not just the genealogical details of her family line — particularly her mother’s — but also the stories, beliefs and traditions that became integral to Charlotte’s own personal story. The book became a keepsake for her family and friends, as well as supporters of her foundation.
